Structures Technician/Mechanic
- Perform aircraft structural repairs and rework on composite and metallic components
- Execute damage assessment, material removal, and structural restoration per engineering dispositions
- Perform drilling, fastener removal/installation (Hi-Lok, Hi-Lite), and hole repair operations
- Conduct composite repairs including trimming, bonding, and surface preparation
- Evaluate and repair nonconforming conditions in accordance with MRB/engineering instructions
- Utilize shop tools (drills, die grinders, calipers) to complete precision repair work
Avionics & Electrical Systems
- Fabricate and install wire harnesses, routing, tying, stripping, and terminations
- Perform continuity checks, troubleshooting, and system testing
- Install avionics components including sensors and data acquisition units (DAUs)
- Use multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, and wire tools
Quality Control & Inspection (A&P)
- Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing work instructions and QMS standards
- Document inspection results and complete required records
- Generate NCRs and support root cause/corrective action investigations
- Inspect for defects, dimensions, and airworthiness using precision tools
- Support material control, tagging, and nonconforming product handling
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- FAA A&P License (preferred or required for inspection-focused candidates)
- 3–5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, or MRO
- Hands-on experience with:
- Aircraft structures (composites and/or metallic)
- Avionics wiring, harnessing, and installation
- Quality inspection and airworthiness standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Experience using shop tools, electrical tools, and precision measurement equipment
- Knowledge of AS9100, FAA regulations, and quality systems
- Experience with NCRs, root cause analysis, and corrective actions (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow PPE/safety requirements
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
