Join our new handmade jewelry and gifting shop (located in downtown Berkeley Springs, WV) as a Lead Sales Associate/Key Holder, where you will be the driving force behind delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring smooth store operations. In this exciting new role, you will lead by example and uphold the highest standards of sales performance and customer service. As a key holder, you will also be entrusted with opening and closing responsibilities and supporting management in daily tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while actively contributing to a vibrant retail environment.
*Must be able to work/have Thursday-Sunday availability ranging from as early as 10am to as late as 6pm with minor exceptions (such a festivals/events where we may need additional support)*
Duties
- Lead daily sales floor operations, ensuring excellent customer service and achieving sales goals through active engagement and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize store presentation and product availability.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity.
- Uphold store security by following safety procedures as a key holder during opening or closing shifts.
Experience
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience required
- Prior experience in retail sales management or supervisory roles within the retail industry is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software
- Knowledge of retail industry standards including merchandising techniques, stock control, and operational management is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments.
