The Art of Living is a Community and Support Services Agency that provides quality care and support to special needs/developmentally disabled adults. We provide residential services, living support and day program services. The Program Director at The Art of Living, must have at least 3 year‘s management experience and related work experience with persons with developmental disabilities.
The Program Director will be responsible for the day to day operations of the residential and day program at The Art of Living. The ideal candidate must be friendly, have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, a "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic. In addition, it would be ideal for the candidate to have a working knowledge and understanding of DDSN Policy & Procedures.

Classification: Full Time; Salary
Pay Rate: $48,000-$53,000

Education & Required Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a Direct Support Professional or related work experience with persons with developmental disabilities
- Must have management experience and be able to manage staff
- Must be detail oriented and able to maintain confidentiality
- Must have competent skills in Microsoft Office
- Must have effective communication skills and be able to speak, listen, write clearly
- Must submit to a DBHDD criminal background check
- Must provide pre-employment physical and TB screening
- Must be able to work in the U.S.
- Must have or able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be a positive team player and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be flexible in working hours and be willing to work additional hours ass needed
- Must be able to work with different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Document monthly home visits
- Daily review of progress notes
- Maintain and update client files/bookkeeping
- Ensure that the services, supports, treatment and care respects the vision of the individual
- Communicate effectively with staff, and parents/providers
- Fill in if staff is not present for work and take the role of Direct Support Staff
- Must be willing to work on-call (after business hours) on a rotating basis with other DDP
- Focus on Client needs: Anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet of exceed their expectations within the organizational parameters
- Foster teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
- Overseeing the services and supports provided to participants that include;
- The agency DDP monitors and/or participates in the implementation and delivery of the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- The agency DDP supervises the delivery of service and ensures the strategies reflect the goals and objectives of the ISP.
- Providing, arranging or overseeing curricula used in staff training and directed to service delivery in the context of the individual’s goals and objectives;
- Other duties as assigned
