Opened in 2012, the Art of Living Retreat Center is an outgrowth of the Art of Living Foundation’s 40 year global commitment to health, happiness, and Ayurveda.
The Boone Art of Living Retreat Center is an award-winning mountaintop wellness center in beautiful Boone, NC. Surrounded by nature, we offer immersive experiences through the powerful practices of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, and Ayurveda.
We operate a fully Plant Based kitchen. While you are not required to follow this lifestyle yourself, you are expected to respect and be excited about these philosophies. The Purna Dining Hall is the main social hub of our campus. We believe in an inclusive and respectful work environment.
We are seeking passionate people to join us as an integral part of our Dining Team. Our dining hall is self service buffet style, guests gather their own food and clear their dishes. Our server's responsibilities include maintaining the buffet, making sure all stations are stocked and clean, prepping salad bar items, and helping in any other capacity to ensure a smooth and professional dining experience. As well as communicating with the kitchen any front of house needs and engaging with the customer in a professional and polite manner.
Attributes for Success:
- Some experience working in high-volume restaurants preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to interact with guests to ensure positive dining experience
- Positive outlook and abundant optimism
- Customer service attitude
- Must be able to work weekends/holidays as part of a regular schedule

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
