Job Overview
The Art Fair Company in Sawyer, MI is a provider of temporary wall and lighting systems for fine art fairs. Our warehouse location has an opening for day shift (8:00 am - 4:30 pm), supporting our sanding, painting and electrical crews. Must be at least 18 years of age and able to lift over 80 lbs.
Availability to work occasional weekends or extended shifts requested. Options for long-term employment and expanded training in art fair production available.
Duties
- Train with our experienced crew in a number of tasks, including organizing custom hardware brackets, preparing for outgoing shipping, and prepping lighting and lighting truss.
- Opportunities to train in sanding and painting our wall system.
- Learn how to assist with forklift teams in loading and unloading trucks going to/coming from art fairs across the United States.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, carpentry of painting experience is helpful, but on-the-job training is provided.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods while performing labor-intensive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
