Pay Rate/Range: $18/hr
Description: The Arnold Group is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Specialist for a local commercial insurance firm in Emporia. This position supports the placement, administration, and ongoing servicing of commercial insurance policies. The Account Specialist will work with clients, insurance carriers, wholesalers, referral partners, and internal team members to obtain quotes, facilitate policy issuance and renewals, process endorsements and policy changes, respond to service requests, and maintain accurate policy and financial information. The role is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and interested in learning the commercial insurance industry. Prior insurance experience is preferred but is not required.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
• Business, customer service, insurance, or other relevant professional experience preferred; prior insurance experience is not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, business partners, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple policies, deadlines, requests, and transactions at the same time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including recognizing when complex issues should be escalated.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, along with the ability to learn web-based carrier and CRM systems.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, policies, and procedures is desirable but not required.
• Willingness to obtain a Kansas Property & Casualty Producer License if required by management.
• Willingness to complete a background check and sign required confidentiality and employment agreements.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days. Daily attendance is critical. Some work from home may be scheduled, with potential work-hour flexibility depending on office workload.
