Armor is looking for experienced Brake Press Set-Up/Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will independently set up and operate metal-forming and cutting equipment, produce parts to exact measurements, reduce scrap, and help teammates build their skills. Positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts. 5a-330p or 330p-2a
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses independently.
- Press and cut metal accurately to required measurements and specifications.
- Inspect work for quality while minimizing scrap and material waste.
- Follow safe, efficient work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Train and educate employees on brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, project managers, and the area supervisor.
- Complete additional duties assigned by the manager.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five or more years of shear and press experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Amada equipment and Fanuc controls a plus!
- Ability to set up brake presses, shears, saws, and die punch presses without assistance.
- A consistent focus on accuracy, detail, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Ability to clearly train and support other employees.
