Marquette is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Cook to join our Health Care Department team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands-on production cooking for residents in our Health Care neighborhood. The Cook is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service, food safety, and cleanliness at all times.
Pay: $19-$25 per hour (based on experience)
Daily Responsibilities of a Cook:
- Exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization at all times
- Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards consistently
- Produce and serve menu cycle programs that comply with required nutritional and dietary guidelines per local regulations and facility policies
- Prepare modified diets accurately per Policy and Procedure
- Demonstrate speed, accuracy, efficiency, and strong cooking skills in all food preparation and production
- Assist with meal service and ware washing as needed
- Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service (quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance) and recommend improvements to operations and procedures
- Represent the community in a warm, welcoming manner that promotes a positive environment for residents and families
- Support a culture of engagement where quality service and teamwork drive resident satisfaction and community success
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience required
