Hourly Rate: $17.94 to $20.06 depending on Education

Position Summary

The Teacher’s Aide/Assistant at Prime Time for Kids supports classroom teachers in a small special education preschool serving children with disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, preparing materials, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping students with eating and bathroom routines. Teacher’s Aides/Assistants provide supervision throughout the day and contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning atmosphere. Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth are essential, as aides/assistants work collaboratively with teachers and staff to foster meaningful relationships and promote developmental progress.

• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment.• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the classroom to ensure safety and hygiene.• Support students with eating, bathroom routines, and other daily needs.• Supervise children throughout the day to ensure safety and engagement.• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom activities and lessons.• Provide compassionate and individualized support to students with disabilities.• Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a nurturing environment.• Adapt to changing classroom needs and maintain a flexible, team-oriented approach.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience with children, preferably children with special needs
