ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments and donations, following proper procedures.
  • Assist in loading and unloading donations and stock
  • Sort, organize, and stock merchandise in designated areas.
  • Assist drivers with loading/unloading goods and securing items for transport.
  • Navigate delivery routes and interact with customers for signatures and inquiries.
  • Provide excellent customer and donor service, answering questions and assisting with loading purchases.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized retail and donation intake areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols, use proper PPE, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Support diversity and inclusion in all interactions with staff, volunteers, and customers.
  • Maintain delivery vehicle in a clean and organized state.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers and warehouse staff
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (50 lbs.), perform physically demanding tasks of moving inventory and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, chemicals).
  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping and reporting.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety regulations during loading and delivery process.
  • Flexibility and willingness to working various areas of the center.

Licenses: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Combination of warehouse, retail floor, and delivery settings.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, typically working indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
  • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, including overtime.

The rate of pay for this position is an annual salary of $33,280 based on $16/ hour.
