Position Overview: The Financial Analyst at The Arc Ontario plays a key role in managing fixed assets, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity while supporting accurate and timely financial reporting for the agency and its affiliated entities. This position is responsible for preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and reports, as well as overseeing asset tracking, assisting with audits, and supporting purchasing and accounts payable processes. The role also contributes to improving financial operations through analysis and cross-department collaboration. Responsibilities
- Maintain the agency's property records including fixed assets. Provide monthly fixed asset reports. Maintain asset/furniture disposal requests and coordinates disposal. Responsible for annual physical inventory of fixed assets.
- Assists with cash audits.
- Responsible for Abbey Residence, Inc. (HUD) monthly general ledger and monthly financial statement preparation.
- Responsible for Friends of Ontario ARC Foundation monthly general ledger and monthly financial statement preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and a minimum of three (3) years of experience or Associates Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience. Experience in not-for-profit environment is preferred.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Strengths in problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
