About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping others connect, grow, and thrive? The Arc of Tri-Cities is hiring friendly and dependable people to work one-on-one with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Community Inclusion Specialist, you’ll support individuals in getting involved with activities they enjoy—right in their own community!
This could mean going to a reading group at the library, joining a local art class, volunteering, or exploring new hobbies. Your job is to help each person build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections.

What You'll Do:
- Support one individual at a time with inclusive, community-based activities
- Help each client work toward their personal goals
- Provide transportation to and from outings
- Track and report client progress
- Keep open communication with families, caregivers, and coworkers
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment at all times
Schedule & Availability:
- Flexible scheduling available
- We're especially looking for team members who are willing to take clients out on Friday evenings and Saturdays
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for at least 5 years
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable using basic Microsoft Office programs
Bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of local community resources
- Experience planning activities or outings
