Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We have 24/7 operations, and we are searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable people who want to work as part of a goal- and success-oriented team. There is opportunity for advancement, paid on the job training and assistance in obtaining all required certifications required in this line of work.

The Arc of Spokane’s Supported Living Program believes that having a disability should not prevent someone from enjoying a rich and meaningful life. We support adult men and women living in their own homes with the freedom to work, socialize, and recreate as they wish. Supported individuals in our program enjoy the best life has to offer AND more importantly professional staff (YOU!) who are fully qualified to support their needs.

We are currently looking to fill Full-time and Part-time shifts. Flexibility is key, and a weekend day is required.

Graveyard shifts (10PM-6 AM)- Locations: Northtown mall area, Lower South Hill area, NE neighborhood.

AM shift (6 AM- 2 PM) and Swing shifts (2 PM-10 PM)- Locations: Northtown mall area and lower South Hill area.

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Ability to pass required fingerprint background checks.
• Maintain personal transportation available for work-related use and WA valid driver’s license with proof of liability insurance. Essential function to transport clients to appointments, shopping, community outings and other transportation needs assigned. May be trained on the operation and use of agency vehicle.
• Must be willing to attend and complete all required trainings within assigned timeline.

Compensation: $21.50-$23.65*starting range, entire scale to $27.95 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours per week, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal Leave.

• All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.

A structured hiring bonus is offered to new staff as follows:

• $250.00 the pay date after 30 days of successful employment
• $500.00 the pay date after 90 days of successful employment
• $1000.00 the pay date after 120 days of successful employment and the completion of all required trainings
