PositionSummary:
Weare looking for a friendly, energetic, and mission-driven Store Ambassador tojoin our thrift store team. You are more than just a team member; you are anambassador for our cause. Your primary role is to create a welcoming andpositive shopping experience, educate customers about our mission, and helpmaintain an organized and inviting store environment. JobDuties / Expectations:
- Accurately sort and put away clothing and miscellaneous items in their correct locations.
- Help maintain a neat, tidy, and organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and book/media sections.
- Assist with running clothing racks, pulling merchandise, and organizing various departments.
- Support the overall team by completing light cleaning and recovery tasks to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
TeamSupport:
- Multitask effectively with upkeep of the fitting rooms, restocking items, and answering customer questions simultaneously.
- Work collaboratively with the sales floor team to achieve daily goals.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to successfully pass a required background check.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with constituents who experience an intellectual or developmental disability and their families or experience an intellectual or developmental disability yourself.
Qualifications:
- A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for serving the community.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Driving or travel is not an essential function of this position.
PhysicalDemands:
- Physical demands include being able to stand for long periods of time. Job may consist of twisting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Compensation: $16.66-18.33*starting range, entire scale to $21.66 per hour, Non-exempt, Part-time 5 hoursper week, 10 Paid Holidays and Sick leave.
- Allpay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting payfor this position is $16.66 per hour.
