The Arc of Greater Haverhill- Newburyport is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1962 to advocate with and for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout the Merrimack Valley and seacoast communities.
The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Coordinator in our Adult Family Care (AFC) Program for several of its families in the Merrimack Valley region. The Coordinator will work in partnership with the Director of AFC in the development, planning, and implementation of supports within the AFC program. This position requires a bachelor's degree, any candidate without this degree will not be considered.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with the concept of self-determination and have a minimum of two years of recent experience working with elders or adults with disabilities. The Coordinator must be action oriented and able to assist with crisis management, engage in conflict resolution, and must have excellent documentation and communication skills. This role is office based but will include frequent field work such as attending meetings, doing monthly home visits, and may include accompanying individuals and their staff to appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Two 2 years of recent experience working with elders or adults with disabilities
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory background check and driving record.
- Computer Skills including experience with Microsoft office is preferred.
