Job Summary:

If you are passionate about making an impact through Training & Development, the Quality Management and Compliance Department is seeking a part-time Trainer to deliver, coordinate, and maintain required training programs for employees and individuals served. In this role, you will create meaningful learning experiences while ensuring compliance with New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) standards, agency policies, and regulatory requirements. Flexibility is essential, as the schedule includes occasional evening and night trainings to support operational and staff development needs.

Reports to: Assistant Director of Training and Development

Location: Livingston, NJ

Salary: $23/ hr - $25/hr

Schedule: Part-time up to 27 hours per week including some evening hours for 2 weeks every other month

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive trainings at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment to maintain the standards of all agency talent
• Conducts trainings using engaging, creative, effective and clear communication
• Using the agency and regulatory standards, conducts a comprehensive assessment of newly hired employees during training and makes recommendations for feasibility of continuing employment
• Completes all pre- and post-training activities, maintains training records and supplies, and serves as a resource for staff and individuals receiving services.
• Re-tests employees as needed
• Follows all Licensing Standards, Medicaid, DOE, DOH, DDD, and DCF training standards
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with agency staff, serves as a resource for staff
• Performs any other responsibilities as needed

Education / Work Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• One to two years of training facilitation experience required; DDD Trainer certification preferred
• Experience working with Microsoft Office required
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
