Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Pay: $17/hour Shift Differentials $600 Sign-on Bonus
Location: State College or Bellefonte, PA
Schedule: Part-time, Weekends or Evenings Preferred
Schedule & Pay
- Starting pay: $17/hour
- Additional $1/hour shift differentials available
- Up to $600 sign-on/stay-on bonus
- Part-time
- Weekend and/or Evening availability is preferred
- Flexible scheduling is available (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license required (ability to transport individuals)
- Ability to obtain required TB test and physical (per ODP regulations)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, overnights, holidays)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with physical supports (lifting, bending, standing, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred (not required):
- Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcare
About the Role
The Arc of Centre County is hiring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in group homes located in State College and/or Bellefonte, PA.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will help individuals live more independent, meaningful lives while building strong, supportive relationships.
No experience required – paid training provided!

- Provide direct support in residential homes
- Assist with daily living activities (cooking, hygiene, routines)
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and independence
- Transport individuals to community activities and appointments
