Position Title: Technology Specialist
Compensation: $27-$38 per hour based on experience
Status: Part-Time 20-30 per week

Job Summary
The Technology Specialist ensures the smooth, reliable operation of our computers, phones, and related technology systems. This role provides first‑line technical support, manages our help desk ticketing system, and equips staff with the tools they need to serve our clients effectively. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to helping others succeed through technology. By keeping our systems running efficiently and training staff on new and existing tools, the Technology Specialist plays a key role in advancing our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontline technical support: Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests, managing and prioritizing the ticket queue to maintain an organized daily workflow.
- Hardware and software setup: Configure and maintain computers, phones, printers, and related systems; troubleshoot issues and perform routine updates.
- Employee onboarding: Lead technology onboarding for new staff, ensuring smooth setup and providing user‑friendly training on essential tools and systems.
- Documentation and inventory: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and infrastructure, including knowledge‑base articles and equipment inventory.
- Operational support: Monitor the IT inbox, support, and cyber security systems during business hours. Provide on‑site assistance for urgent issues as needed.
- Independent task management: Balance multiple priorities while working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: 3 years in IT support or a help desk environment.
- Technical skills: Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Google Workplace, PF Sense, Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Admin Suite, Zoho MDM, and basic networking and cybersecurity concepts.
- Communication: Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information to non‑technical users.
- Driving requirements: Valid driver’s license with no more than three suspensions and/or points within the past three years.
- Problem‑solving: Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
