JOIN OUR TEAM now and make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities Our mission is to advocate, support, and provide services to people with developmental and other disabilities. Our services emphasize choice and full community engagement. The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities attending Day Habilitation Program.
SUMMARY: Assist individuals with developmental disabilities with skill acquisition, retention, or improvement in self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. Assists in the development and attainment of life goals. Provides support and services to individuals to attain independence, productivity, and integration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Provides individualized care as outlined in the individual's Life Plan/ IPOP.
- Assists individuals in the primary activities of daily living (toileting, feeding, cooking, and cleaning) as outlined in the individual's Life Plan / IPOP to promote independence.
- Maintains files and produces service notes and documentation on assigned caseload.
- Documents and submits reports to the program as outlined in the assigned department.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED. Valid NYS driver's license with a driving record that is in accordance with the requirements of our Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier.
