Position Objective: To oversee the day-to-day operations of student and residential services provided to the participants of The Arc Jacksonville’s On Campus Transition program at UNF. This would include supporting individuals living in on-and off campus student housing by supervising specialized training, habilitation, and direct care services that will address the individual needs and orchestrating all student life activities for all participants of the program.

Program Specific Job Requirements:
- Manages operations for the student life activities and residential services.
- Ensure all program policies and procedures, handbooks, and student/family forms are continually updated, as well as contracts are implemented for each participant.
- Display effective teamwork with OCT staff and The Arc Jacksonville employees.
- Become an Arc-approved vehicle driver, and ensure all vehicle policies and procedures are followed.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the President CEO/Chief Programs Officer/AVP Education and Therapeutic Services/Director, OCT Program
- Student Life:
- Plan activities for OCT students, which facilitate a full daily schedule for participants. Responsible for ensuring student schedules are accurate with activity information and calendars are communicated appropriately.
- In conjunction with the director, facilitate relationships with UNF to ensure OCT students have a robust college experience.
- In conjunction with the admissions coordinator, ensure all annual paperwork is accurate and is delivered to students/parents/families in a timely manner.
- Explore community and campus events for students.
- Investigate community resources and organizations to design and implement innovative partnerships and services.
- Plan and execute all community outings.
- Assist the Academic Services Coordinator with the planning and execution of the OCT courses.
- Residential Services:
- Supervises residential staff and along with the director, hires, trains, and evaluates employees. Responsible for scheduling staff, record keeping, and approval of timesheets.
- Supervises and ensures Independent Living Mentors complete hiring requirements, manage time, and attendance.
- Coordinate with the Admissions Coordinator all annual paperwork to ensure students/families are receiving accurate program information, guidelines, and coursework updates.
- Ensure services are rendered according to a person- and goal-oriented framework, develop a training calendar, and ensure independent living trainings are conducted. Create a system for goal progress tracking for each participant. Assist staff in developing or finding creative training/support techniques for people receiving services. Make positive suggestions for program improvements as needed.
- Ensure all billing information, monthly reports regarding services rendered for residents participating in residential and LIFE is sent/entered for Arc’s Accounting department. Maintain records and case notes required by APD.
- Ensure service contracts are up to date and all emergency contact information is current at all times in AWARDS and any other databases.
- Keep up to date with Med-Waiver training, requirements, policies and procedures for those receiving residential services through CDC and HCBS waivers.
- Substitute for and/or assist staff as needed to ensure participants are receiving quality services.
- Act as the liaison to Frassati-Newman Hall and Osprey Fountains to ensure rooms are maintained appropriately and contracts are retained.
- Respond to medical and behavioral crises to assure the safety of people receiving services. Recognize and take action to correct any potential safety or health hazards.
- Send monthly reports to the Arc Financial department for billing regarding those services mentioned above. Maintaining records and case notes required by APD in appropriate binders.
- Ensure all contracts are up to date and all emergency contact information is updated and current at all times. Following up with residents and their parents as needed to ensure that new contracts are signed.
- Ensure apartments are fully furnished, all appliances are in adequate and working condition, and apartments are cleaned and decorated after each semester. Check apartment training and contact logs during weekly apartment checks and AWARDS data to ensure services are documented.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with the UNF’s Director of Housing.
- Communicate with parents/families regarding questions, updates, and concerns, as well as to provide recommendations for further student progress.
- Plan scheduled activities and outings in the community. Provide supervision and instruction on community outings.
- Maintain the OCT Residential Emergency cell phone throughout the evening, night and weekend.
- Assist with Summer Life program as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 1-year experience with individuals with intellectual differences; 4 years of experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and training skills; positive interpersonal skills; professional appearance; high energy; effectively multi-task work assignments. Organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Google docs, sheets, drives, Power Point, Publisher, and Adobe and database systems
- Budget grant reporting experience.
- Experience working with office and database software required.
Salary: $40,000-$50,000
