What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP)-Developmental Center and Work Services position at The Arc Idaho?
The Arc of Idaho is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to work at our center assisting our participants to their goals of independence. The hours are Monday thru Friday between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm (may vary by 1/2 hour either way depending on the day)

The Arc Idaho is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). DSP’s work directly with adults with I/DD, assisting them in learning skills to become more involved in our community and increase their independence. Each day includes a variety of work and no two days are the same. The Arc has great employees who value each other and are eager to welcome new staff on board.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Idaho drivers licensure, auto insurance and clean driving record.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire with no cost to the employee.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation with no cost to the employee.
Responsibilities:
- Working with program participants in the community and/or in our center-based program.
- Assisting adults with disabilities in achieving their dreams of independence.
- As DSP you will teach program participants basic life skills and/or job skills and making a real difference in their lives and in your community.
