The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess Counties, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 162 East Broadway in Monticello, NY.

Our agency offers a broad range of services including Residential Services, Clinical Services, Day Services, Family Support Services, Guardianship Services, Employment Services, Recreation and more. Job Summary:

The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and support to their direct reports, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centered services within assigned day program(s). The role serves as a key operational and supervisory link between front-line supervision and program management. The Program Supervisor supports the Program Manager by reinforcing expectations related to service quality, staff performance, compliance, and daily program operations, while ensuring that services reflect individual needs, preferences, and goals.

  • Model professional behavior and leadership consistent with the Agency’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Promote individual, staff, and programmatic growth through supervision and support.
  • Adhere to the Agency’s Policies and Procedures, Justice Center Code of Conduct, NADSP Code of Ethics, and all regulations governing service delivery.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications (including driving and medication administration, as applicable), and credentials necessary to perform job duties.
  • Exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and accountability in all supervisory responsibilities

Responsibilities: Person-Centered Service Delivery

  • Ensure that services delivered across assigned programs are person-centered, meaningful, and aligned with individual habilitation plans. o Services should be based on data and conversation with the person, using POM® interviews and satisfaction surveys where available
  • Reinforce practices that promote independence, inclusion, productivity, and quality of life.
  • Ensure services promote meaningful community connections
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure individual rights, dignity, health, and safety are safeguarded

Supervision and Support

  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and guidance to assigned staff
  • Ensure DSPDs and ADSPDs under their supervision are effectively supported, developed and supervised.
  • Address performance concerns, corrective actions, and professional development needs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex staffing, service delivery, or compliance issues

Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
