- The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as The Arc Baltimore’s primary recruiter, responsible for identifying, attracting, and evaluating candidates who align with the organization’s mission, values, and long-term goals. This role involves targeted sourcing, resume review, candidate screening, and coordination of the hiring process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist also maintains clear communication with candidates, supports employer branding and community outreach efforts, and oversees applicant tracking and hiring metrics.

- Partners with Human Resources Business Partners and hiring managers to determine recruitment strategy
- Leverages online recruiting resources to identify and attract top talent
- Screens candidates to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, connecting viable candidates with hiring managers
- Creates and fosters relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to engage high-quality candidates
- Manages the scheduling and coordination of interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Responsible for recruiting metrics and reporting to assess recruitment success
- Utilizes Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate information and job requisition information
- Plans and organizes internal hiring events
- Represents the agency at external job fairs and related recruitment conferences
- Collaborates with hiring managers and/or other human resources staff during the offer process
- Ensures compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Required:
- Associate's degree
- Minimum of 2 years of full life-cycle recruiting
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a healthcare/non-profit/social services environment is helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent people skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to recruitment and hiring
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn recruitment and applicant tracking systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
- Knowledge of UKG platform a plus
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times
