Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking using proper knife skills and food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Support the dietary department in planning menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling procedures to prevent contamination.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and workspaces regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or food service environments is a must
- Experience within healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices.
- Proven cooking skills with an emphasis on food presentation and flavor development.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
