The ARBORS at GREENFIELD is a family owned and managed Assisted Living community located on Meridian Street in Greenfield MA.
We are seeking an RN or LPN with a valid MA nurse license, strong management experience and excellent customer service skills to join our team in the role of RESIDENT CARE DIRECTOR.
This a full-time, salaried position with some on-call responsibilities.
The Resident Care Director is responsible for administration of nursing services. The Resident Care Director interprets policy and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensures compliance. The Resident Care Director assumes primary responsibility for providing oversight of the resident health care service needs, including the overall medication delivery system and the coordination of in-service training for the resident care services department. The Resident Care Director fosters a success-oriented accountable environment within the nursing department that provides the highest quality care and services.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the quality of resident care within the community
Assess and evaluate resident issues and medical concerns as needed and coordinates with other service providers, ancillary services to ensure proper care
Provide competency training for all resident care aides with return demonstration.
Serve as a liaison to families/designated representatives, health care agencies, emergency response teams, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers
Conduct initial and on-going Resident assessments
Directly supervise Resident Care personnel in the building
Provide first aid as needed
Responsible for RCA recruitment, selection, new employee orientation, and ongoing in-service education in accordance with company policies and regulations
Assume on call responsibilities per schedule
