We are seeking a credentialed School Psychologist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work alongside the current school psychologist, providing support and assistance. Responsibilities include delivering academic interventions and Designated Instruction Services (DIS) Counseling, offering you the opportunity to positively impact students' educational paths while being a valuable resource for both students and teachers.
Pay Rate: $57 - $64 per hour
Location: Huntington Park, CA
Schedule: Part - Time
Qualifications:
- Required: Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychology Authorization
- Required: Master's degree
- Proficiency using Welligent and SEIS
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong planning abilities for both personal and program development
- Adherence to ethical standards for psychologists
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relations
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering comprehensive oral and written reports
- Effective advisory skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Proficiency in operating assigned computer and office equipment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments for individuals to identify special needs.
- Utilize appropriate tools to evaluate learning characteristics, attitudes, and social-emotional factors.
- Develop strategies to support student success.
- Generate effective written reports communicating assessment results and conclusions.
- Consult with students, staff, and parents to address school-related issues.
- Collaborate with staff to implement strategies for handling school-related problems.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to plan educational programs.
- Engage in consultation and referral activities with community mental health agencies.
- Provide short-term psychological counseling for students with adjustment issues.
- Offer consultation services for individuals and groups to enhance parenting skills.
- Maintain communication with colleagues for professional growth.
- Stay updated on legal issues in school psychology, special education, and general education.
- Coordinate intervention strategies for individual and school-wide crises.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
