Product Lifecycle Management Professional
The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University center of excellence in defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas. We’re seeking an experienced technical professional to translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with our PLM/CAD Tools team for integration, testing, rollout, and training.
This role is primarily on-site in State College, PA, but hybrid schedules may be available for the right candidate, depending on research needs. We also provide a great relocation package to support your transition!
This role is ideal for System Administrators, DevOps Engineers, IT Support Specialists, or Systems Engineers looking to grow and create impact in an innovative and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and translate business process requirements into technical solutions
- Design, administer, and maintain Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments
- Plan and implement custom workflows, user roles, and access permissions
- Integrate Teamcenter with MCAD/ECAD tools and other enterprise applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields) with 3 years of experience (6 years for senior role)
- Experience with Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, SELinux, VMWare, Oracle databases, and Apache Tomcat
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter or similar PLM systems in production environments
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in PLM systems implementation (especially Siemens Teamcenter)
- Knowledge of enterprise software integration (COTS tools)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher and may be subject to a government background investigation to upgrade clearance eligibility, if required
