Lead Sales Associate / Store Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Sales Associate / Store Manager to join our team and contribute to delivering a superior antique shopping experience.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable on the sales floor, behind the scenes, and guiding a team.

You will be responsible for driving sales, managing daily operations, supporting and directing staff, and ensuring that every client interaction reflects the standards of the gallery. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational discipline, operational awareness, and a genuine appreciation for antiques, interiors, and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the gallery, ensuring a seamless and welcoming environment for clients
• Act as the primary point of contact on the sales floor, engaging clients with confidence, knowledge, and professionalism
• Guide clients through purchases, offering informed perspective on pieces, provenance, and use within the home
• Supervise, train, and support sales associates, setting the tone for service and accountability
• Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including transactions, invoicing, and record accuracy
• Create and maintain detailed tear sheets and client-facing materials
• Oversee inventory organization and coordinate with ownership on new acquisitions and merchandising
• Coordinate logistics including receiving, deliveries, and order management
• Handle phone and email inquiries with a high level of responsiveness and professionalism
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Ensure the gallery presentation remains aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and standards

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in retail, gallery, or showroom sales, with leadership or management responsibility
• Strong interest in antiques, decorative arts, and interior design
• Proven ability to manage both client relationships and operational responsibilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Proficiency with POS systems; experience with SOS or similar platforms is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with a polished, professional presence
• Confident leadership style with the ability to guide and motivate a team
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• College degree preferred
• Weekend availability is required
