Events & Marketing Internship – 2026 Fall Semester

The Anthem Group is a collection of highly acclaimed and award-winning entities. Anthem companies are international market leaders in the live entertainment, large-scale event production, experiential marketing, tourism, hospitality and placemaking industries. This is a multi-discipline and multi-industry internship experience where operational, creative, planning and development skills will be learned across Anthem’s six primary industries.

For over a decade the Anthem internship program has fostered innovation, creativity and enriched individuals from all corners of the United States and internationally. No industry specific experience is required, but rather an aptitude and interest in large-scale event production, experiential marketing and the entire process in setting up major public and private projects.

The Anthem Group also institutionally supports over 100 different non-profit, educational and charitable causes and organizations. Community focused events, clients and partners are an integral part of Anthem’s mission.

The fall internship period will run from the beginning of September through mid-December, with the option to extend longer when it meets academic requirements. Interns will work on a variety of fall and winter events and programs while also assisting with future 2027 projects.

It is highly recommended that interested candidates review the company website(s), social media and latest projects to have a greater familiarity with the position and organization.

It is also highly encouraged that applicants familiarize themselves with one of Anthem's largest projects: The Anchor. The Anchor is a multi-award-winning venture that is Boston’s only multi-story public gathering space, performing and visual arts venue, open-air wine and beer garden and special event setting. The Anchor hosts the largest free-public programing campaign in the United States with over 500 events, programs and initiatives annually. @TheAnchorBoston and www.TheAnchorBoston.com

Marketing and Administrative Exposure:

Underneath guidance of senior team members, interns will learn to:

  • Conduct market, client and project location diligence
  • Research potential venue sites, as Anthem is actively vetting opportunities for its next marquee event venue, boutique hotel and other additional ventures
  • Coordinate mixed-media, marketing and digital campaigns
  • Contribute to the planning of events, including, but not limited to, creating and cultivating new concepts and assisting in any aspect of currently planned productions and programs
  • Support the organization and implementation of marketing campaigns, programs and a variety of other activations
  • Provide graphic assistance (e.g., creating collateral material, social media content, etc.) should the candidate have previous experience that aligns with the company’s needs

*Experience with different graphic platforms (Canva, Adobe, etc.) is useful, but not necessary

On-Site and Experiential Opportunities:

Shadowing project managers and event coordinators, interns will learn to:

  • Deliver logistical, operational and on-site support at various events and programs
  • Acquire and implement top-tier practices related to placemaking, hospitality, live entertainment, event production and tourism
  • Act as a liaison for external constituents, such as exhibitors, vendors, musicians, talent, models, client representatives, etc. (dependent on project)
  • Collaborate with project managers and event coordinators to achieve event objectives

The internship program is focused on teaching and mentoring. There are weekly opportunities to learn a variety of industry subject matter ranging from theoretical to pragmatic lessons. To illustrate and best teach “how” and “why”, a combination of general industry examples unrelated to Anthem, as well as, Anthem-specific projects are utilized to educate and expose program participants to the widest array of topics as possible.

Interns will have the ability to ideate and create their own event, live entertainment or programming concept in order to further enable experience and experiential learning. Individuals will be coached by senior team members and guided as they spearhead their creation from conceptualization, through marketing/publicity and to execution.

Candidates must be enrolled in a current undergraduate or graduate school degree program. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is desired, but not required. Recent graduates may be eligible for Anthem’s fellowship program, which differs from the internship program. Candidates must specify if they are in a current academic program.

This is a hybrid position with a combination of both remote and in-person aspects.

This is an unpaid internship. Internships must be taken for College/University credit.

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to careers@anthemevents.com.
