Description
Annenberg Learner is the education division of the Annenberg Foundation. To advance excellent teaching in American schools, it funds and distributes free multimedia resources on Learner.org for the professional development of K-12 teachers. Annenberg Learner also partners with impactful organizations to provide other means to achieve this.
The Project Associate works with the Program Director to help implement and manage Annenberg Learner’s content and services. In addition, this position will provide administrative support for Learner activities, and will often act as a liaison between external partners, other Annenberg Learner staff and the Foundation Marketing, Accounting, and IT teams.
Essential Functions
- Represent the Foundation and Program Director in a positive, professional manner by consistently delivering on commitments and displaying great decision-making capabilities
- Provide and lead support to both internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism
- Provide strategic administrative support for Learner initiatives, which include scheduling and attending meetings, participating on committees, preparing written correspondence/documents, presentation decks, etc.
- Perform a variety of research efforts to support program priorities and projects, including: researching mailing lists for marketing materials; researching thought leaders in education; researching and monitoring the education landscape for topics and trends
- Contribute content, editing, and general support to projects
- Track, monitor, and cultivate strategic partners
- Manage external vendors, consultants, and contributors
- Coordinate consultant/vendor setup process with Accounting & Finance, and track related activities. Ensures that contracts are up to date. Review invoices and submit them for approval
- Create, edit, and coordinate the publishing of blog, newsletter, updates, and more with Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate and produce The Annenberg Learner Podcast, including post-production materials and social media content
- Responsible for the acquisition, activation, and growth of Learner users, podcast and newsletter subscribers
- Monitor Learner inbox and respond to general inquiries
- Respond to Learner information and material requests, by phone, mail, email, and more.
- Maintain Learner website, series, and podcast
- Work with Legal to track and distribute royalties
- Work with the IT team to track and resolve website and other technical issues
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of design tools and software
- Knowledge of, or desire to learn, basic web coding tools
- Knowledge of podcasting software and related platforms
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field
- Five years of communications and/or education experience, preferably in education or non-profit sector
- An equivalent blend of education and work experience is acceptable
- Project management experience/certification preferred
Range: $30 - $34 hourly
