The Annapolitan is a Chesapeake Bay–inspired American steak and seafood restaurant bringing the flavors and hospitality of Annapolis, Maryland to North Augusta. We are seeking a warm, polished, and professional Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests and set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Position Summary
As a Host/Hostess at The Annapolitan, you will greet guests with genuine hospitality, manage reservations and seating, and support smooth front-of-house operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently
- Maintain accurate wait times and communicate clearly with guests
- Escort guests to tables and present menus
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow
- Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area
- Assist with guest needs and special requests when possible
- Uphold The Annapolitan’s standards of professionalism and hospitality
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
