What You'll Do
As a Playgroup Attendant, you'll help create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for every dog in our care.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supervising and actively engaging with dog playgroups
- Reading canine body language and ensuring safe, appropriate play
- Safely introducing new dogs into groups
- Redirecting inappropriate behavior using positive handling techniques
- Monitoring each dog's health, energy level, and overall well-being
- Cleaning and disinfecting play yards and indoor areas
- Feeding, watering pets as directed
- Walking dogs between play yards, boarding runs, and grooming appointments
- Providing updates to coworkers regarding each dog's day
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment

- Absolutely loves dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
- Is dependable, punctual, and hardworking
- Stays calm under pressure and pays attention to detail
- Can work independently while also supporting teammates
- Is physically active and comfortable being on their feet throughout the day
- Wants to learn more about canine behavior and group management
Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary medicine, animal shelters, pet sitting, or grooming is a plus—but we're happy to train the right person.
Physical Requirements
This is an active job—not a desk job.
Applicants should be able to:
- Stand and walk for most of the shift
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend, squat, kneel, and move quickly when needed
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and energy levels
