What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant - Vandalia, OH position at The Animal Eye Institute?
We are in need of a Veterinary Assistant at The Animal Eye Institute of Dayton. This is a full time position.
- This office is open Monday through Friday, and 2 Saturdays per month.
Our Veterinary Assistants are responsible for the care of our patients including but not limited to:
- Animal restraint for blood draws and examinations
- Performing initial clinical tests to the eyes
- Providing exceptional client service
- Filling medications and client communication
- Assisting for surgical procedures
- Preparing exam rooms for appointments
- Cleaning of surgical instrumentation
- Restocking medical supplies, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Light paperwork
- Maintenance of in-house patients (feeding, walking, cleaning, etc.)
