Family Law Paralegal

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of family law cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct thorough legal research on family law statutes, regulations, and relevant case law to support case strategies.
• Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as CLIO, SecuriSync, or similar platforms.
• Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural law requirements.
• Interview clients to gather detailed case information and provide updates on case progress while maintaining confidentiality.
• Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and ensure timely submission of all necessary documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth case progression.
• Support attorneys in hearing preparation & attend hearings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a paralegal supporting family law or related civil litigation areas.
• Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal research methods (Westlaw, LexisNexis), and case management software.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), document review tools, and electronic filing systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client service excellence.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Familiarity with other practice areas such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law or workers’ compensation law is a plus but not required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
