Position Overview
The eCommerce Digital Design & Sales Support Intern supports revenue-generating eCommerce initiatives by applying digital design, content execution, customer insight, and performance analysis across customer-facing channels. This role partners closely with the eCommerce team and cross-functional stakeholders to support promotions, new product launches, and expansion into new retail media and marketplace platforms. The intern will contribute to the execution, optimization, and analysis of digital experiences, including email, SMS, push notifications, and retail media listings, while gaining hands-on exposure to how customer behavior, voice of customer insights, and data-driven decision-making directly increase eCommerce sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive eCommerce sales initiatives through promotions, new product launches, and seasonal campaigns, with a focus on customer conversion and purchase behavior.
- Collaborate across cross-functional departments, including supply chain, IT and product specialist, to execute campaigns and onboard products to new retail media and marketplace platforms.
- Research retail media platform-specific listing, content, and algorithmic performance requirements to improve product discoverability and increase revenue.
- Execute product onboarding by creating, optimizing, and managing digital assets within retail media databases, ensuring listings are accurate, customer-focused, and sales-ready.
- Execute writing, design and build of email, SMS, and push notifications that support the customer purchase journey and target specific audience segments.
- Monitor email, SMS, and push notification performance on a weekly basis and analyze key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates to identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and sales outcomes.
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize subject lines, content, and layouts to improve customer response and conversion rates.
- Apply graphic design skills to adapt content for multiple digital formats and platforms with a focus on clarity, usability, and customer decision-making.
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and customer-facing digital experiences to provide recommendations that improve conversion and revenue performance.
- Conduct voice-of-customer analysis by reviewing qualitative feedback such as reviews, ratings, Q&A, and on-site behavior to identify customer pain points, friction areas, and opportunities to improve customer shopping experience.
- How eCommerce sales teams plan and execute promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns that influence customer purchase decisions.
- How retail media and marketplace platforms evaluate and rank product listings, and how customer-focused content and assets impact discoverability and sales.
- How digital touchpoints such as email, SMS, push notifications, and retail media environments function as direct customer interactions within the Ecommerce sales funnel.
- How to analyze campaign performance metrics and customer behavior to improve conversion, engagement, and revenue outcomes.
- How voice-of-customer inputs (reviews, ratings, engagement data) are used to refine digital experiences and sales strategies.
- How to evaluate competitive digital experiences and identify opportunities to reduce friction and improve usability.
- How cross-functional teams collaborate across supply chain, IT, R&D, and operations.
- Minimal job-related experience
- Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks
- Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy
- Works with either close supervision, or under clearly defined procedures
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Pursuing a degree in graphic design, digital media, eCommerce, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong graphic design skills with an interest in understanding customer behavior, digital commerce, and how to influence purchasing behavior.
- Familiarity with digital customer touchpoint channels such as email, SMS, push notifications, or retail media platforms preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.
