What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skid Steer/Mini Excavator Operator position at The Anderson Company?
The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for over 27 years is seeking an experienced Bobcat Operator or a Mini-equipment operator that knows how to operate a skid steer & mini excavator. We operate in the DC metro area.
Essential functions:
- Operate skid steer (Bobcat) and mini excavator to perform a variety of construction tasks
- Perform grading, excavation support, and site preparation with attention to accuracy and finish quality
- Load, unload, and transport materials; assist with moving equipment and supplies around the jobsite
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific guidelines at all times
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
- Take direction from supervisors and superintendents to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Assist crew members and perform additional duties as needed to support project completion
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a skid steer (Bobcat) on active construction sites
- Proven ability to perform grading work
- Experience operating a mini excavator preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
