Data Analyst – Transmission Engineering Support
To support client needs, candidates must reside within a two-hour drive of Massachusetts. While this position is primarily remote, occasional onsite visits will be required.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and progressive Data Analyst to serve as a key partner to the Transmission Line Engineering team. This individual will act as a right-hand resource, helping to elevate team performance through structured data, reporting, and actionable team and individual insights. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up, improving processes, and translating complex data into clear, visual insights that drive decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track team and project performance
- Build and refine reporting frameworks to support transmission engineering operations
- Perform back testing and data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of metrics
- Design and maintain advanced Excel tools including models, trackers, and automated reports
- Lead Power BI dashboard development and integration across engineering workflows
- Organize and structure data to improve visibility, usability, and consistency
- Partner closely with engineering leadership to identify performance trends and opportunities
- Translate data into clear visualizations that support decision making and reporting
- Improve processes through automation and data-driven solutions
- Support project tracking, forecasting, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or related utility field
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business analytics
- Strong experience with Power BI including dashboard creation and visualization
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas
- Experience building KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems
- Ability to perform data validation, back testing, and trend analysis
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large data sets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights clearly
- Experience supporting engineering, operations, or project teams preferred
- Utility, transmission, or infrastructure experience is a strong plus
