What are the responsibilities and job description for the Profile Specialist position at The Amlon Group?
The Profile Specialist approves waste streams entering the facilities, reviews opportunities materials for processing, approves profiles and assigns process codes. Evaluate material for all Amlon facilities and select the appropriate facility-based on permits, waste analysis plan, customer request, processing cost and facility efficiencies.
Key Position Activities:
- Reviews profiles submitted by sales/customer service to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provides regulatory review of EPA, DOT and State designations.
- Ensures waste material is acceptable within limitations of Part B permit or facility operating permit and WAP (waste analysis plan) and if not acceptable actively seeks alternative options for treatment using third party recycling /disposal as necessary.
- Obtains approved outbound profile(s) to ultimate recycle- disposal site(s)
- Evaluates waste stream(s) (profile) for most cost-effective treatment option, or treatment option requested by customer
- Works closely with customer relations and operations to optimize service to our client by providing profile approval in less than 72 hrs.
- Actively pursues recycling (green options) for traditional streams
- Assesses the best method of handling delivered waste taking all treatment, labor, material, equipment and transportation costs into consideration.
- Maintains end consumer requirements (contracts, target metals, tramp metals, price, capacity)
- Determines final assignment of process code directly or thru supervision of lab personnel
- Maintains location transportation and disposal costing files
- Assists in training customer service, technicians and lab personnel on price points and process codes.
- Participate in bids by assisting with the coding of bids
- Creates and submits profiles to third party vendors
Experience
- Firm knowledge of EPA regulations
- Firm knowledge of DOT regulations
- Firm knowledge of State regulations
- Ability to gain firm knowledge of operating permits, and WAPs
- Chemistry background or related experience (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to gain knowledge of waste processing at Amlon facilities
- Ability to meet deadlines
