Job Description: Community Engagement Manager
Salary: $55,000- $60,000
Work Location: Remote with some travel required
AAS is seeking a passionate Community Engagement Manager to amplify our mission, engage supporters, and ensure our digital presence reflects our values. This role blends creativity with strategy to connect communities, donors, and partners through compelling storytelling. Key responsibilities include:
Social Media Engagement
o Develop and implement social media campaigns that highlight programs, events, and impact stories.
o Create, schedule, and monitor posts across platforms to grow awareness and supporter engagement.
o Track analytics to measure reach and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
Website Management
o Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with our mission.
o Collaborate with program staff to feature success stories, resources, and calls to action.
o Optimize site for usability and community engagement.
Communications & Storytelling
o Draft newsletters, press releases, and donor communications that inspire action.
o Support member-focused communications to the AAS community, informed.
o Uphold brand consistency and inclusive language across all materials.
Qualifications
- 3 years of professional experience in journalism, communications, social media, or website content development.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a knack for storytelling.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools.
- Graphic design, podcast production, and/or video editing skills to enhance storytelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
