Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management and Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor project design teams throughout the design and execution of municipal and land development projects.
- Manage design teams in the development of detailed engineering and construction documents.
- Coordinate project activities across internal design teams and external stakeholders.
- Communicate project requirements, technical information, schedules, and deliverables effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
- Prepare and oversee engineering calculations, technical reports, spreadsheets, specifications, and supporting project documentation.
- Support site planning, permitting, code research, and site plan approvals across applicable jurisdictions.
- Perform and/or oversee construction cost estimating.
- Support civil design activities associated with municipal and land development projects.
- Support business development efforts.
- Maintain relationships with clients, engineering partners, permitting agencies, jurisdictions, and other stakeholders.
- Attend and present at public meetings as required.
- Coordinate with clients and external stakeholders to support project delivery and approvals.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering. [Required]
- 10 years of experience directly related to the design and execution of municipal and land development projects. [Required]
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering and design teams. [Required]
- Experience with site planning, permitting, code research, and jurisdictional approvals.
- Experience preparing and overseeing technical engineering documentation and construction cost estimates.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Microsoft Office. [Required]
- Experience with ICPR4 for stormwater modeling and design. [Required]
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, engineers, permitting agencies, jurisdictions, and other stakeholders. [Required]
- Ability to attend and speak at public meetings. [Required]
- Professional Engineer licensure in Alabama and Florida for the Daphne position. [Required]
