Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Culinary Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food handling and sanitation. This role involves serving meals, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe dining environment to support the well-being of our residents. Prior experience in food industry settings such as healthcare, dietetics, or culinary environments is highly valued. Every other weekend from 3PM-7PM.
Responsibilities
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Assist with food preparation and plating under the guidance of kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and cleaning utensils and surfaces.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support meal setup, serving, and breakdown processes during dining hours.
- Help with meal portioning and dietary accommodations as specified by dietary or nursing staff.
- Ensure that all serving areas are organized, stocked, and sanitized throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal times and special dietary needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in food service, dietary aide roles, or related fields such as assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, or meal assembly is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietetics is a plus.
