Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with Yardi experience to support our growing portfolio following several recent acquisitions. This is a newly created role due to expansion.

You’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager and play a key role in full-cycle accounting, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting using Yardi
• Heavy Accounts Payable (AP) processing and oversight
• Assist with:
• Journal entries (JEs)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• General ledger (GL) support
• Pre-financial analysis and reconciliations
• Ensure timely payments to avoid late fees (monthly deadlines)
• Monitor compliance items (insurance, licenses, etc.)
• Support financial reporting, including affordable housing (LIHTC) reporting
• Collaborate with internal team (Accounting Manager, lease administration, AP support)
• Identify efficiencies and leverage technology/automation tools

Qualifications

• Required: Experience with Yardi (must be able to hit the ground running)
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (property accounting preferred)
• Strong understanding of the AP cycle
• Experience with GL, reconciliations, and financial prep
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with spreadsheets/automation
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Note: A Bachelor’s degree is not required—relevant experience is valued.
