Cook Responsibilities
- Prepare food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
- Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards
- Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
- Inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents
- Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
- Ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available
- Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Knowledge of dietary procedures
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- At least one year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or another related medical facility
