The Allure Event Center in Chesterton, IN is looking for dishwashers to join our team!
We are located on 526 Indian Boundary Road in Chesterton. However, we also have a location in LaPorte and you would be required to work there occasionally. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated and engaged, with a positive attitude.
Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Wash specific items by hand.
- Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment properly·
- Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
- Remove garbage regularly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines.
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including mopping the floors.
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
- Assist Chef in plating of simple food items as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous dishwasher experience a plus, but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
- Schedule requires evenings and weekends.
- Positive attitude and team oriented
- Great attendance record
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
