Job Purpose–What You
Will Do
The Digital Marketing Manager is an integral part of Alliance for a
Healthier Generation’s (Healthier Generation) Marketing team, working
collaboratively towards the organization’s goal of addressing racially and
socioeconomically based health inequities. The mission of this role is to help
Healthier Generation and the Marketing team equip health champions with the
tools and resources needed to equitably transform environments surrounding
young people and their families.
The Digital
Marketing Manager’s mission is to use
data analytics on user behavior to develop marketing strategies and campaigns
that attract new users and further engage users currently
working with Healthier Generation and our suite of programs designed for use by educators,
school administrators, out-of-school time staff, and family caregivers to support equitable whole child health.
The Manager identifies opportunities to better reach
prospective and current audiences, including making recommendations to inform
effective digital marketing strategies that regularly
bring users back to our
digital products, recruit new users, and enhance engagement strategies.
Their success will maximize
programmatic impact and revenue by directly driving the
end goals of Healthier Generation’s digital delivery: increased recruitment of and more intensive engagement with our
digital products, especially the Action Center, among schools, districts, community partners, and families.
Core
Responsibilities
Strategy, Communications & Campaigns
Time Allotment: 60%
of time with quarterly projects per campaign, aligned with funder/revenue
objectives.
- Co-create digital marketing strategies and multichannel campaigns (e.g., web, social, email, SMS/text) that drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and revenue among target audiences for Healthier Generation and its programmatic portfolio.
- Serve as daily point of contact to select program partners, funders, and internal project teams to coordinate and communicate as needed to increase campaign impact
- Analyze user behavior trends across digital channels including email, digital advertising networks, mobile apps, and the Healthier Generation and The Walking Classroom websites.
- Contribute to editorial calendar and communications plans to ensure alignment of all digital marketing assets with Healthier Generation brand and messaging guidelines.
- Implement audience segmentation, customized content, and email automation strategies to nurture and expand relationships with priority audiences.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Time Allotment: 20% of time with quarterly projections,
aligned with funder/revenue objectives
- Support Healthier Generation leadership, teams and funders with routine and grant-specific digital marketing, advertising, and campaign updates.
- Support evaluation and data strategies and activities as needed.
Advertising & Budget Management
Time Allotment: 20%
of time with quarterly projections,
aligned with funder/revenue objectives.
- Lead comprehensive Google Ads strategy to drive engagement with Healthier Generation programmatic portfolio.
- Lead development and implementation of advertising plans and budget recommendations across various mediums (e.g., online, social, print, podcast).
- Coordinate the development of advertising assets and materials (e.g., conference collateral, event signage, print/digital ads).

Education and experience requirements for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, marketing, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years experience in implementing strategic marketing and/or program initiatives, including plan development, implementation, writing, editing, and reporting.
- Experience in working on national communication campaigns/programs.
- Project Management experience preferred.
Other Requirements
- Required travel by car or plane up to 20% of the time.

Each job at Healthier Generation is assigned to a salary grade built on market data.
For an individual coming into Healthier Generation, we set pay generally between the minimum and the midpoint of the
salary grade and based on qualifications. For this position, the minimum is $68,642 and
the midpoint is $82,370.
