Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper
Job Summary:
The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, comfortable, and attractive guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures that hotel standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Change bed linens and make beds.
- Replace towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, mirrors, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management.
- Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets.
- Clean hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other public areas as assigned.
- Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
