The Alfred Mental and Addiction Heatlh (AMAH) Workforce Development and Education is a dynamic team of interdisciplinary clinicians providing training and education to Nursing and Allied Health staff working in all areas of mental health. We work closely with management and staff to support cultural change and personal development using a collaborative approach.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Adult and Older Adult Practice Development Nurse will work with a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the professional development of the Adult and Older Adult Community Mental Health Services. This position will collaborate with all senior clinical disciplines and the workforce development team. To ensure workforce issues are managed and supported through practice development, education and training tailored to meet the needs of the department. This position will take a lead in program planning and provision of education that contributes to the professional and practice development of Adult and Older Adult staff. The Practice Development Clinician will coordinate the planning and provision of training across the Adult and Older Adult department. Experience and capability to plan, implement, facilitate and provide field mentoring are necessary for the role.

- Salary Package: $126,885.20 Superannuation

About You
- Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership with the appropriate professional body:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent OR bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent plus an approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
- Recent experience working in public mental health service.
- Experience providing education and or field mentoring, and experience providing individual and group supervision is desirable
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable
