This role is that of a Fellow within a specialist unit.
This role has the key responsibility for managing and co-ordinating clinical trial activities in the Haematology Clinical Research Unit. The Fellow will work closely with the Head of the Malignant Haematology, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Services research, other consultants, clinical trial coordinators and other fellows on the unit. The Fellow will assist in supervising junior medical staff and managing their duties. The placement is designed to provide appropriate exposure and experience to enable the doctor to attain new skills and knowledge to augment their career in that discipline. This includes working progressively towards being able to work more independently as experience grows.
The successful applicant will be based within the Division of Blood Cancers, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases and the Haematology Clinical Research Unit based at the Alfred Hospital. The appointment would in the first instance be for 12 months with the opportunity to extend this to a maximum of 3 years depending on performance and commitment.
