Join our dynamic Software Verification & Validation team, where your work will directly impact the development of life-changing medical technologies. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with firmware developers and other R&D engineers to create innovative test methods and cases for embedded firmware. You'll play a key role in identifying and resolving firmware issues, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. We're looking for someone with a hands on experience in firmware test development. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the development of medical device or have experience in other regulated environments. We are looking for an individual who is eager to increase our team’s development efficiency by supporting test automation efforts.
Summary of Job Duties:
- Create test methods and test cases for firmware requirement verification.
- Conduct firmware requirement verification and document test results.
- Create test plans and reports and record defects observed.
- Perform regression tests and other tests throughout software development and verification phases.
- Continuously support testing needs of firmware developers.
- Collaborate with software automation engineers to further enhance the capabilities of the test automation framework.
- Work with cross-functional teams and technicians to design and develop test setup fixtures.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 3 years of firmware testing or related experience.
- Experience with firmware testing from concept to production and for maintenance.
- Working experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g. Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Programmable Power Supply, DMM).
- Ability to read and understand data sheets and schematics.
- Experience with configuration management and issue tracking and resolution.
- Experience with medical device software life cycles processes (ISO 62304) is preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
