The Infant Room Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for infants (typically ages 6 weeks to 16 months). You will implement age-appropriate activities, build strong relationships with families, and ensure the health and well-being of each child in your care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a loving and responsive environment for infants.
- Maintain a consistent routine of feeding, diapering, and napping.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to support infant growth.
- Communicate daily with parents/guardians about each child’s routine and progress.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the classroom.
- Follow all licensing regulations, safety guidelines, and center policies.
- Observe and document each child’s development and milestones.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or ECE units preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting
- Patience, compassion, and a strong desire to work with children
